Three Sisters is located on the northern comer of Bell Buoy reef. A large pinnacle and two smaller ones give the reef its name.
The largest of the pinnacles is approximately 40m long and rise from an average depth of 15m to only 4m from the surface.
On the northern side of the main pinnacle at a depth of 16m a amphitheatre is located. In this amphitheatre the remains of an old mooring block for a marker buoy can be seen. A large chain runs from the amphitheatre up the southern face of the reef.
A small pinnacle to the west marks the start of the reef. It can easily be identified by the two “horn like” structures on top of the reef. This peculiar formation is formed by a large colony of redbait.
